Who, What, Wear
Casual Chic A.K.A - Dressy Casual, Denim and Diamonds = Dress up/Dress Down, Jeans My favorite staple along with a great white t shirt and a sequined blazer/jacket or lots of accessories and Fuk me stilettos, but seriously a great casual chic look is jeans in dark indigo rinse, a super sophisticated pattern or a saturated shade like Colbalt, Oxblood, or Emerald, pair with a big bow blouse, red carpet ready jewels a chic blazer, fur or tailored jacket and your ready to go! Polished but not uptight
Who, What, Wear
Cocktail Party A.K.A Semi - formal= an Elegant party dress and a Killer pair of heels. I translate that into a LBD... But in a rich fabric like Lace, Chiffon or velvet... yes velvet, also a rich jewel tone is perfect for cocktail parties. TIP: hemlines should not be more than 2 inches above your knees, to test- stand with your hands at your sides the dress shouldn't be higher than your fingertips if so..... Change dresses Cinderella. :-) P.S a longer version of the first dress is acceptable not the length pictured.
Who, What, Wear, Recently I was invited to a class reunion and was faced with the question of "what should I wear?" Now this isn't a typical problem for me but I was stumped since I had never attended one before and I would only know 1 person there (my date), so I wanted to represent with proper attire ( Which I didn't... Shrugs....you live and you learn. Since then I've done some proper etiquette research on some of my most requested event invites.
Black Tie, A.K.A Formal = Old Hollywood Glamour, A Tea or Floor length Gown, a dramatic necklace or Oscar worthy earrings ( but not both) an evening bag or a metallic clutch (think) Judith Leiber, and a high but comfortable stiletto ( no one will see them anyway) he-he, for hair I would do a soft chignon top knot or low base, if you need examples check out my Shelli Mosley blog or my folliclesandfashion Instagram :-) P.S this is my blog and totally my style, so if u don't agree... I Don't Care
